NRL are recruiting for a Mechanical Plant Operative on an initial 6 month

About the role: 

An opportunity exists at our Clients Stoke Cylinder Re-Test Facility working in the cylinder refurbishment area. Work will involve inspection and re-validation of industrial gas cylinders. Flexibility is a key requirement as you will be required to work in other areas as business demands.

It will be a 39 hour week Monday to Friday.

Requirements:

Work will involve:

  • Cylinder, valve and pack inspection

  • Refurbishment and re-validation of both industrial and integrated products

  • Awareness and understanding of Health & Safety requirements

  • Fault inspections and escalations

  • Willingness and flexibility to take on other duties as required

Candidates will have:

  • A minimum of City and Guilds in a mechanical discipline or NVQ equivalent

  • A can-do attitude and the desire to work on your own initiative

  • A positive and energetic attitude towards work

  • Previous experience of cutting and welding equipment is required.

  • Applications are sought from candidates with a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, plus at least 5 years further experience in a recognised engineering discipline.

  • A forklift truck licence would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
