Marine & Logistics Leader - Offshore Wind

Duties will include:  

  • Be part of the Operations and Maintenance leadership team on the largest offshore wind farm in the world.
  • Lead the Marine, Logistics and Facilities (MLF) management team, as well as manage multiple large-scale Vessel and Facilities contracts. You will be responsible for all logistics related activities, including port services.
  • Be responsible for establishing appropriate management system and work processes and prepare logistics requirements in SAP, warehouse, etc.
  • Hold responsibility for:
    • Vessel and aviation contracts, and associated milestones.
    • Port Service Agreement with Port of Tyne.
    • Completion of the O&M base construction.
    • Contracts related to logistical operations, and security & facility management.
  • Hold the interface towards construction project for O&M Base usage and vessel sharing.
  • Ensure that the Dogger Bank operations and the Port of Tyne base have sufficient vessels and logistics set-up and support.
  • Act as the owner of the O&M Base facilities and be responsible for associated facility management.
  • Support Emergency Response Plan and be part of the Incident Commander team which involves being part of an on-call rotation.
  • Have the role of Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO), working with Dept of transport and ensuring ISPS is implemented.
  • Responsible for spares & material management at site, goods manifesting including dangerous goods

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, or another relevant subject. Extensive relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
  • Significant experience in a similar maritime logistics role, ideally within offshore wind.
  • Extensive management experience of a warehousing and logistics team. Proven experience of developing staff, and effectve process and procedures.
  • Extensive experience of managing vessel contracts, warehousing, stores, and logistics.
  • Familiar with SAP material handling systems – essential.
