Job Opportunity: IT Support Technician

Location: Leicester Road, Mill Road Industrial Estate, Rugby, Warwickshire, GBR, CV21 1BD

Contract: 6 months (Start 18/11/24)

Clearance: SC (Security Clearance) required prior to start

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri (8 hours/day)

Are you an IT professional with a passion for problem-solving and delivering exceptional support? Our Client is seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician to join our team in Rugby. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment, providing critical on-site technical assistance to support their operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide on-site troubleshooting and support for PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.

  • Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software applications; manage user accounts and permissions.

  • User Assistance: Promptly respond to service tickets and user inquiries, ensuring smooth daily operations.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of support activities and resolutions within the helpdesk system.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless support across the company.

  • Security Compliance: Uphold security standards and company policies in all systems.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven background in deskside support, helpdesk, or a similar technical support role.

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking principles.

  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach.

  • Communication: Clear verbal and written skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • Customer Service: A customer-centric attitude and commitment to providing high-quality support.

Additional Details:

  • PAYE or Umbrella Pay

  • Weekly Pay
