Description of Team
Mixture of skills, of Generator Mechanical and Generator Specialist. The team have a huge knowledge of all different types of generators. We perform mechanical scopes, measurements, mechanical disassemble, rebuilds, rotor pulls. The team also performs repairs scopes such as stator rewedges and rewinds.
Key Internal Stakeholders:
Service managers, helping plan timelines and resource requirements and tool orders
Key External Stakeholders:
Work with customer on helping explain issues on generators and the repairs, how they work
Key summary of the role:
Fast changing situations that need accurate reactivity. Great planner for planned outages. Must be able to lead a team regardless of tough situations
Scope and Complexity of the role:
Responsible for all generator testing and overseeing all repairs from minor to major
Technologies/Tools:
Gensuite, Service now, opening ER Cases, concur, Time entry
Travel:
73% of utilisation across any country in Europe
Projects/Priorities:
Oversee successful diagnosis and repairs on generators
Biggest Challenge:
When a repair has been carried out and the final electrical test that verify the success of the repair fails, job extends and have to find the issue and repair
What does success look like?
No EHS or Quality escapes. And successful hand back to the customer in time or ahead of time

Type of profile we are looking for:
Qualifications Engineering degree, electrical understanding would be good, Ideally leadership roles previously as will be managing a difficult team of skills
Experience Ideally repairs and maintenance work on generators, electrical testing/ High Volage
Achievements ideally lead projects, faced many of challenges and over come them
Industry Army, Navy, industrial engineering
