An exciting position has become available with our client in the LPG industry, within their small Welding/Fabrication Team based at Knowsley, where you will undertake general fabrication duties and welding of various pipework and other carbon & stainless-steel products. This is a pemanent position, offering up to £36,000 per annum + overtime.

 Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for the role holder but not restricted to include.
  • Fabrication of various ¾” – 8” pipework, steel framework, pipe supports, channels etc.
  • Welding of various pipework including socket and butt welding, steel framework, pipe supports, leg channels, channels etc
  • Reading and understanding of isometric drawings, P&ID’s & GA’s.
  • Be of a position where you will from time-to-time work away on site (away from home) to fabricate and weld.
  • Assist with other engineering duties on site when required.
  • Be proactive in general H&S duties and standards with the workplace.
Candidate Requirements
  • Can work unsupervised and self motivated.
  • Aware of and can produce work to ASME 9 standard.
  • Able to read and understand isometric drawings, P&ID’s & GA’s
  • Produce high standards of work.
  • Display competencies and experience/expertise of using fabrication/workshop tooling such as pillar drill, grinders, bandsaws, plasma cutter etc.
  • Strong H&S disciplines.
 Essential Technical Skills
  • Have the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out coded and uncoded welding
  • Have socket and Butt-welding experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in a welding and fabrication discipline.
  • Possess a City and guilds or similar discipline in engineering, fabrication.
  • Competent in Tig & MMA welding, BSEN ISO 9606-1
  • Own codes in welding would be advantageous.
  • Ability and experience to use a PC with some knowledge of excel and word.
Location & Commitments

Based in Knowsley working Mon-Fri with the ability and flexibility to occasionally work away from home.
