Job Summary:

Reporting to a Senior Engineer, the Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for producing the Electrical Engineering deliverables for a work pack / sub-system or project.


Outline and Responsibilities:

  • Producing technical solutions to complex engineering problems (may involve project or sales work), this can include concept design, detailed design, calculations, analysis and technical reports / documentation

  • Take ownership of the tasks assigned through to successful delivery within the specified time, budget to the specification and required quality standards

  • Take direction from Lead / Senior Engineer and Product Technical Lead where required

  • Ensure that design practices / guidelines / Royal IHC Ltd processes are followed

  • Any duties as directed by your line manager or a director of the company

  • For project deliverables may report (technical/ delivery) to a Lead Engineer with delegated authority from a Senior


This role may involve national and international travel.


About You:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively



Experience and Qualifications:

  • Engineering Design and Development experience

  • As a minimum, educated to an Engineering Degree level ( BEng or MEng)

  • Member of recognised Engineering body (e.g. IMechE or IET) or working towards this
