Controls Instrumentation Field Engineer

Skelleftea, Sweden

Job Description:

As a Controls Instrumentation Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless communication between the Design Engineering team and the Construction Delivery Teams. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of the project, meeting design intent and technical requirements.

Here are the key responsibilities:

  • Act as a bridge between the Design Engineering team and Construction Delivery Teams after the design package completion.

  • Facilitate effective communication to address any design-related technical queries (TQs) or Requests for Information (RFIs).

  • Provide hands-on technical assistance related to instrumentation and controls during construction.

  • Collaborate with contractors to resolve on-site issues promptly.

  • Thoroughly review as-built drawings submitted by contractors.

  • Ensure that as-builts align with the original design specifications.

  • Evaluate contractor queries:

    • On-Site: Provide immediate solutions or guidance.

    • Central Engineering: Escalate complex queries to central engineering for resolution.

  • Participate actively in construction meetings to identify and address issues early in the project lifecycle.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience in controls and instrumentation construction within the pharmaceutical or semiconductor industry.

  • Proficiency in interpreting controls and instrumentation design drawings and specifications.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions on-site.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
