Summary
NRL are currently looking to recruit an Area Engineering Manager to work for a client of ours working in the nuclear industry on a contract basis based in Warrington.

Responsibilities
Lead the development of the Engineering and Technical planning for the establishment of the project.
Lead the delivery of the Engineering and Technical plans to:
  • Identify and agree the specification for the project with the client
  • Develop Technological Readiness Level (TRL) to required maturity
  • Identify the Single Preferred Option for delivering the solution to the client requirements
  • Plan for the onward delivery of the project
They will need to Lead and direct a multi-disciplinary engineering Team to:
  1. Identify the feasibility of the approach
  2. Develop an outline requirement specification
  3. Identify the TRL levels and associated development plans to deliver a viable solution
  4. Prepare a plan for the delivery of the appraise and select phase of the project. Deliver to the agreed time, cost and quality.
 
Requirements
  • Higher Education Qualification in Engineering (or Equivalent) subject
  • Minimum – HNC
  • Preferred – M Eng.
  • Appropriate (Engineering or Scientific) Institution Membership.
  • Minimum – Incorporated Engineer
  • Preferred – Chartered Engineer
  • Background engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery including recent positions influencing professional engineers and guiding technical personnel.
  • Significant experience working in an engineering design environment in roles where knowledge of engineering was a key attribute.
  • Recent experience working within a regulated and quality assured system (preferably nuclear but not essential) in roles where professional engineering judgement is the key attribute.
  • Knowledge and understanding of governing laws, regulations and standards for nuclear industry (equivalence from other industries will be considered):
