Working with a leading engineering consultancy, NRL are looking for a number of 1st / 2nd Line IT Support Technicians to work on an initial 1 month contract based out of Manchester.

The Role
Working as part of a team that provides desktop hardware configuration and upgrades, monitoring, software installations, hardware upgrades, imaging, and PC deployment. Using our ServiceNow ticketing management system, you’ll resolve ServiceDesk requests and incidents by diagnosing hardware and software problems and installing and configuring standard desktop packages, liaising with third-party maintenance engineers as needed.

In this critical role, the team may need to report for emergency duties, which may occur outside of normal office hours, and also to undertake business trips to support other offices where necessary. You’ll also have an opportunity to undertake individual 'project' work - innovation and development initiatives are always encouraged.

Working days are Thursday through to Monday each week.

You will need:
  • Proven experience in an IT support role, involving extensive customer support, both remote and in-person
  • Full understanding of Windows Environment and extensive experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience working with Endpoint domain migrations
  • Experience providing in-person face to face IT customer support
  • A+ Certification
  • Ability to travel, and ability to pass a Jacobs' driving record review.
  • You may be asked to stay away at other locations over the weekend so you must be able to accommodate this.
  • The ability to gain BPSS security clearance (must have been in the UK for at least three years) - unfortunately we will not be able to provide visa sponsorship for this position
Ideally, you'll also have:
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology
  • ServiceNow or related ticketing management system
What's in it for you?:
  • Competitive hourly pay
  • Opportunity to work for a large international company
  • Encouragement for innovation within the role
