I am recruiting for a Senior Solutions Architect to ensure the successful design, delivery, and implementation of technology solutions for the LTC's program. Hybrid role based in London. 6 months contract, daily rate based on experience and suitability.
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect for the Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) Program. This role is critical to ensuring the successful design, delivery, and implementation of technology solutions that address LTC's business needs. The Solution Architect will provide technical leadership, define suitable solutions, manage technical projects, and ensure alignment with technical standards, policies, and regulations. In addition, this role will be responsible for identifying innovative technologies that can improve LTC's services and generate cost efficiencies.
Provision of Technical Expertise:
Identify, define, and deploy suitable technical solutions in collaboration with LTC, NH, and 3rd-party providers to meet the needs of the organisation.
Regularly review technical changes from providers (e.g., Microsoft) and identify alternate solutions as needed.
Provide technical input during solution showcases by 3rd-party vendors.
Generate technical documentation to support the ongoing security and maintenance of LTC's IT landscape.
Technical Project Management:
Define and deliver technical projects, ensuring successful migration and implementation of solutions, such as transitioning from on-premise systems to cloud environments.
Coordinate and manage interrelated technical tasks to ensure seamless project execution, including traffic modeling and other key initiatives.
Technical Assurance:
Ensure that both internal and external teams adhere to technical regulations, policies, and best practices during change initiatives.
Provide guidance to external vendors on standards and policies, ensuring that delivered solutions align with LTC's technical requirements.
Innovation and Cost Efficiency:
Stay informed on technological advancements and identify opportunities where new technologies may benefit LTC, such as AI solutions or cloud-based innovations.
Investigate opportunities to optimize existing technologies for cost savings and operational improvements, such as replacing legacy systems with more advanced alternatives.
Experience:
Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with expertise in enterprise architecture, applications, network, and security.
Hands-on experience with cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure. Experience with Google Cloud or AWS is also considered.
Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Synapse, and Fabric technologies.
Skills:
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, DevOps methodologies, and modern technology stacks.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver solutions on time.
Expertise in developing technical artifacts and documentation to support technical solutions.
Qualifications:
Relevant certifications in Azure, Microsoft 365, or other cloud technologies are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in operational and security technical delivery.
Proven track record in delivering technical innovations that drive cost efficiency and improve organizational performance.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors
