Job Description:
NRL are currently recruiting for a Static Equipment Engineer to work on major projects in India on a permanent basis.


About the role:

  • Deliver static equipment engineering to ensure that the Project's requirements are executed to meet customer, applicable Classification, statutory rules and project specifications on time and within budget
  • Stewards the interfaces among the PMT and the EPC contractor's organization with respect to equipment packages to ensure quality design
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with applicable Codes and Standards within the boundaries of the Basis of Design
  • Role is initially based in Noida, India for 6-9 months and will transition to fabrication / pre-commissioning in Korea for 18-24 months
Specific Accountabilities
  • Review of drawings, reports and specifications for static equipment
  • Review technical bid evaluations, datasheets and technical specifications for static equipment
  • Review and approval of Vendor documents
  • Participate in HAZOP (as needed) to ensure a safe and reliable operation
  • Participate in vendor technical bid clarification meetings
  • Vendor document review and co-ordination with the other disciplines
  • Liaise with all related project disciplines to ensure package equipment specified complies with project and regulatory requirements
  • Where required conduct or direct vendor visits to establish equipment and/or layout constraints in the design and be able to work with process, I&C and piping layout engineers to recommend the most economical solutions
  • Safety – Responsible for personal safety--safe working practices for the position
 
What you will need:
Specialist experience with the design and specification of Static Equipment, detailed knowledge on the Suppliers in the market with a good understanding on the design of pressure vessels / drums, chemical injection, heat exchanger, tanks and/or other static equipment 

Qualifications and Experience required:
  • A recognized engineering degree in Mechanical or equivalent discipline
  • Significant experience of static equipment engineering in the oil & gas environment
  • Offshore static equipment experience on FPSO or other types of floating production units
  • Good communication and technical writing skills in English language
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritisation of work to achieve them
  • Strong and broad technical knowledge across most aspects of oil & gas
  • Must have strong management and leadership skills and also be capable of easily and productively working in a multi-cultural team environment
  • Dynamic and enthusiastic approach is essential
