Job Description:
NRL are currently recruiting for a Principal Permanent Way Design Engineer for work with one of our engineering clients on an initial 3-month contract basis in Birmingham. Please note that this role would be within IR35.

What you will need:

  • Ability to check and train CAD and the production of horizontal and vertical alignment models and drawings
  • Ability to design and check BRT for plain line and S&C
  • Ability to check and train ClearRoute and gauging principles for platforms and structures
  • Clear understanding of Construction Design Management and ability to check and train production of HERRR
  • Clear understanding of Group Standards and ability to give guidance and training on them
  • Task Manager for simple and medium complexity projects / sites
  • CRE for simple and medium complexity projects / sites
  • Clear understanding of railway discipline interfaces
  • Clear understanding of track construction methods
  • Member of appropriate institution (e.g. PWI / ICE) working towards professional registration
