Frequently asked questions

How do I send you my information?

Attached in the same email which you received the Welcome Booklet in, you will
find a New Worker Information Form attached. Please fill in the new worker information pack and return via email to [email protected].

Does this affect my pay?

No, your commercial terms will be unaffected.

When do I get paid?

Our payroll runs weekly from all timesheets sent/processed before Tuesday 12:00 and money will be in your account on Friday.

How do I submit my timesheets?

Your timesheets should be completed in the same manner and authorised by the same reporting line manager. However, timesheets and expenses forms should now be submitted to [email protected] before 12 noon Tuesday in readiness for payment into your nominated bank account on Friday.

If you have any questions or problems with your timesheets please call the payroll team on 01942 614 650.

Will my holiday entitlement change?

Holiday entitlement is only applicable to PAYE workers. NRL calculates holiday allowance at the statutory rates currently set as 28 days per annum inclusive of bank holidays pro rata, anything in addition to this is dependent on individual contracts of services and/or AWR requirements.

NRL gives workers the option of having holiday pay paid at the point of accrual or at a later date chosen by the worker. The worker is required to notify [email protected] of the amount of holiday to be paid by 12 noon Tuesday of the payment week. The worker should also notify the relevant authorising line managers if any leave is to be taken.

As workers have the choice of when holiday accrual is paid, all tax and NICs are calculated and deducted at the time of the accrual.

Will my pension change?

NRL has partnered with Now Pensions as our auto-enrolment pension provider, any workers paid on a PAYE basis will be assessed and automatically enrolled into the pension scheme if applicable. Full details will be sent to individuals at the relevant stage of auto-enrolment.

The current statutory contribution rates are 1% Worker and 1% Company (NRL) on gross wages between £192 and £827 per week.

Workers who are eligible for the Pension Scheme are able to opt out if they wish to. However in line with Auto Enrolment Legislation, this request must be made direct to Now Pensions by the individual after the first pension deduction has been taken from a wage.

If Now Pensions received your opt-out request within a month of being enrolled, you will be refunded your contribution amount. However you will lose the benefit of NRL’s contribution.
