Our International Development Director Will Fossey spoke to Recruitment International magazine to highlight the growing opportunities for expat contractors to develop their careers by securing roles on some of Egypt’s lucrative energy projects.
With Egypt realising they must make fundamental changes to their operations to reduce reliance on imports, currently making up almost 70% of its trade, new plans are underway to boost exports with the commission of several crucial infrastructure projects.
These projects, such as the Tahrir petrochemical development and other renewable energy infrastructure works, provide a wealth of opportunities for overseas contractors to boost their CVs.
Despite the challenges to work compliantly within this highly legislative country, Will Fossey explains to Recruitment International why contractors should be exploring Egypt for their next career move.
“To achieve this major development, approximately 20,000 roles will be created at peak construction, and a further 25,000 indirect jobs during the operational phase.”
