Award-winning recruitment agency NRL recently celebrated the achievements of two staff members based in its Wigan recruitment branch. Karen Atherton and Debbie Power both recently reached long service milestones with the company, both having worked within NRL’s Wigan team for 15 years.
Their time spent at the recruitment business has helped drive their careers forward, with Debbie now working as a Senior Recruitment Consultant while Karen has become Branch Manager of the Wigan office as of this year.
Retention of skilled workers is a rare concept in the recruitment industry, highlighting Karen and Debbie’s outstanding accomplishment as a testament to their own merit and the company’s strong values centered around developing and supporting its staff, which it claims is the driving force behind the excellent level of service it provides to clients and contractors.
The company’s employee benefits platform, Benefit Select, rewards long-serving employees with trips across the UK, Europe and the whole world depending on the amount of time spent with the company. 15 years of service means that Karen and Debbie will each enjoy a long weekend to a European destination of their choice for themselves and a partner, and NRL will also be contributing meals and drinks allowance and two extra days of annual leave.
“I think NRL takes care of its staff admirably. Not every company can say that it offers so many incentives to its employees and on top of the training and support we receive it’s not very difficult to see why so many people stick with the business for so long. The fact that I’m being treated to a break for two on behalf of NRL is a really nice gesture to reward staff for our hard work and dedication.”
