This year, the team at NRL’s Wigan branch is proud to be making a Christmas donation to a great cause that is very close to its heart. The team have handed over a cheque for £750 to Macmillan Cancer Support – an organisation full of supportive professionals dedicated to providing help and care to those affected by the illness.
Following the news earlier in the year that a member of the Wigan team had been diagnosed with cancer, the branch wanted to show their support for the fantastic work carried out by Macmillan. This donation was made in addition to the £200 raised by the branch earlier this year as part of Macmillan’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
The talented team at Macmillan works tirelessly to inspire and improve the lives of those they care for, providing help for not just those affected by the disease but also their families and loved ones, offering advice about work and money worries.
Everyone from the Wigan branch wishes to send their thanks and share their appreciation for Macmillan’s services.
