NRL Group’s Wigan support office is celebrating reaching the final stages of the Finance Awards North West 2018. Finalists in the Shared Service Centre of the Year category, the central support office provides finance, IT, HR and marketing support to NRL’s regional businesses, direct support to clients and contractors, as well as service delivery through our Linx business.
The award entry focused on the relocation of the support services to a new Wigan location in 2017, which was delivered to drive technology innovations and significant service improvements across the business.
Discussing the award shortlist Chief Financial Officer Ben Humpage commented:
“In 2017 we took on an ambitious challenge to transform our support services to help reposition our business for medium and long term growth.
Following relocation a new team took on the challenge of building on the solid foundations already in place, ensuring a smooth transition with no disruption to our branches, clients and contractor services. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, each of our support office teams have gone on to drive significant enhancements to our operations so I’m delighted to see their hardwork recognised as finalists in this prestigious award.”
The successful shortlisting follows a rigorous judging process, where businesses across the North West competed to demonstrate their service excellence. With an astounding number of entries, only those who demonstrated exceptional service standards were selected as finalists. The winner of the Shared Service of the Year category will be announced at the awards evening on Thursday 11th October 2018 in Manchester.
