  • NRL continues to champion Cumbria’s Unsung Heroes

NRL Limited have renewed their support for the West Cumbria Community Heroes Awards for the third consecutive year.

Supporting the ‘Unsung Hero’ award category, the Egremont recruitment branch will entertain this year’s nominees at the annual awards evening on 1st December. The awards, hosted by The Whitehaven News and Times & Star, will pay tribute to the many people across the community who work tirelessly to support others.

From good neighbours, to dedicated volunteers and passionate carers – the event will provide an opportunity to recognise and reward those residents who always go the extra mile.

Reflecting on the upcoming awards, Branch Director Rebecca Graves said:

“We’re delighted to be supporting the West Cumbria Community Heroes Awards yet again. Each year we’ve been privileged to hear about the amazing things locals do to support others, and it makes us proud to be involved. Unsung heroes often go about their activities without drawing attention to themselves, perhaps not even recognising that what they are doing is so commendable. To have the ability to highlight their great work and show them how special they really are is fantastic and the team are really looking forward to the night.”

The awards evening will take place on Friday 1st December 2017 at Workington Leisure Centre.
