Former X-Factor contestant Joe McElderry has today set off on a trek that will take him around the North East of England on bike as he rides in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.
The event, named “Cycle The Circle Of Life”, saw Joe depart from South Shields this morning, and he will cycle to Ryhope, Hartlepool, Stanhope and finally Prudhoe as he bids to raise money for the charity. The journey will last 4 days, at which point Joe hopes to have raised £7,000.
NRL have supported the Joe & the event in previous years and are proud to be doing so again – we have donated £500 to Teenage Cancer Trust in support of Joe’s massive challenge. The singer has expressed his gratitude to everybody who has gotten behind the event to help raise money for a great cause.
“Thank you so much for all your support so far. You are all fabulous and amazing for getting involved in such a great charity!”
There’s still time to support the event, so please visit its Just Giving page to help Joe and the team reach (and hopefully surpass!) their goal.
