The third annual “1000 Companies to Inspire Britain” publication was released by the London Stock Exchange this week, highlighting the growth of UK SMEs and celebrating the way these businesses drive Britain’s economy forward. The 2016 report marks the second time running in which NRL has appeared among the fastest-growing SMEs in the country.
To be in with a chance of being selected for the report, companies must not only show growing revenue over the past four years but must also outperform their sector peers. NRL’s continued investment in innovative technologies and dedication to finding new and unique ways to support our clients have contributed to the company’s rapid expansion.
NRL was not only listed as one of Britain’s fastest growing companies in the report but was also the highest ranked Cumbrian business to be included. NRL Director Rebecca Graves was asked to appear on BBC Radio Cumbria to talk about the company’s history, from its beginnings at Sellafield to becoming a global provider of recruitment services, and you can listen to the full recording below.
Our placement in the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain extends NRL’s string of wins, as the company has also recently been listed in the Recruitment International Top 500, the Recruiter HOT 100, The Sunday Times Top Track 250 and was awarded Recruitment Company of the Year (>£50m turnover) at last year’s APSCo Awards for Excellence.
Rebecca Graves was pleased with the business’ inclusion in the report, also commenting:
“We’re very proud to have been included in the LSE’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain for the second consecutive year. Not only have we managed to sustain our business throughout the recession but we also improved upon the services we provide and invested in supporting our staff, our contractors and our clients. We hope to carry this forward momentum on into the future and aim to be included in future 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain reports to come.”
