  • NRL embark on a Branch-2-Branch cycle in aid of The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre

NRL Group’s Wigan support office have taken to their exercise bikes in support of The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

The Branch-2-Branch cycle challenge has been organised as part of the North West cancer specialist’s Corporate Challenge that encourages companies in the region to take £50 and turn it into £1,000.

The team, based at Glasshouse Business Park in Wigan, support NRL Group’s Recruitment branches, Rail and NDT services.

Using indoor bicycles the support teams will cycle the distance between each of NRL’s UK branches – from Woking up to Falkirk, finishing back in Wigan. The cycle route will visit 7 branches and total 1,198 kilometres.

Funds raised from Clatterbridge’s Corporate Challenge will help support their new hospital in Liverpool currently under construction. Donations will be used to create a social lounge for patients to have broken away from treatment.

NRL Group’s Chief Finance Officer Ben Humpage said:

“We’re delighted to be involved in Clatterbridge’s Corporate Challenge and help raise funds to support the great services they provide local residents.

Everyone has really got into the spirit of the challenge, cycling with colleagues throughout the day which has created a great buzz across the office.”

The Branch-2-Branch cycle coincides with Clatterbridge’s Let’s Go Green week, when people across the region go green to raise funds to transform cancer care.
