  • NRL – Celebrating 35 Years in Business

NRL was launched by Andrew and Hugh Redmayne back in 1983 – delivering NDT services from a small Portakabin on the Sellafield site. Three and a half decades later, NRL has grown into a leading provider of recruitment services, in addition to developing our original NDT offering and introducing new services into our business portfolio such as rail contracting, International Assignment Support and our managed service provider Linx.

These 35 years have seen the business expand from its humble beginnings in Cumbria – opening offices in the North East, North West and Scotland through the 90s and bringing onboard talented individuals to join our team – many of whom remain with us to this day.

    NRL in numbers

The same applies to many of the candidates and clients we have had the pleasure of working with over the years, helping to deliver some of the UK’s key milestone projects over the past three decades.

Acquisition of Petrolic in 2013 allowed us to take our business global, as we extended our operations to Egypt and began recruiting internationally. We’ve been pleased to watch our presence in the UK grow as well, with NRL now operating a regional network of 9 branches across England and Scotland.

We are humbled by the support we have received from our candidates and clients, this support has helped us achieve recognition for a number of awards such as the Sunday Times Top Track 250, the SIA Top 50 Largest UK Staffing Agencies and the London Stock Exchange’s 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain. We were also extremely grateful to be crowned APSCo’s Recruitment Company of the Year in 2015, and more recently our listing as the third largest technical recruitment agency in Recruiter’s TOP 10 prove that our personal approach to work is still well-received among our valued clients and candidates.

    35 Years Celebrations

We are extremely proud of everything that has been accomplished at NRL over the past 35 years, and we would like to acknowledge that none of this would have been possible without the people who work for and with us. Our devoted colleagues are committed to delivering excellence to those they work with, and their dedication has helped us grow our reputation as experts in our field. Likewise, we are fortunate to have built strong, long-lasting relationships with our candidates and clients.

Following our recent acquisition of Intec (UK) Limited, we are also delighted to welcome their employees, clients and contractors into the NRL Group. We’re excited to explore the new opportunities that arise as a result of this acquisition, and we’re looking forward to meeting their clients and candidate’s in the coming months to discuss how we can continue providing them an expert recruitment service.

We would like to thank everyone that has played a part in our journey, and we look forward to continuing to innovate and exceed expectations for the next 35 years.
