This is based in Lostock, Northwich.
Key Responsibilities
This role will have a variety of day-to-day tasks supporting the senior leadership/ field engineering manager in delivering the building services elements of the project. These will include:
- Assisting in always maintaining and improving Health and Safety standards.
- Reviewing internal performance specifications and documentation for compliance against specification and regulations prior to external review and use within RFQ.
- Reviewing sub-contractor designs for compliance against project specifications and regulations.
- Ensuring all procedures are adhered to by all relevant contractors and in accordance with current legislation
- Day to day support and adjustment of infrastructure as required, including liaison with user groups, preparation of documentation for changes, approved appointment of contractors and site supervision.
- Maintaining technical submission and RFI schedules
- Monitoring and reporting on Sub-Contractor progress against programme.
- Liaising with the contracts manager to ensure sub-contractors complete daily tasks
- Control of trouble-shooting engineering support.
- Assisting the construction team with technical queries to ensure the scope is constructed in accordance with specification.
- Assisting with commissioning process to ensure all services are operating correctly
Acts in capacity of a "lead person." Does not have management responsibility for the people to whom they provide work direction.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either an ABET accredited program in the USA or an engineering program, offered by a foreign institution, accepted as valid in the home country or the country in which the individual is practicing.

Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrable previous experience on EFW projects.
- A degree/HND in building services engineering.
- Relevant years of post graduate related experience.
- A good understanding or working knowledge of software packages such as AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems.
Physical Demands:
• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, Move, and Walk long distances in and around confined, cluttered places, and uneven areas.
• See and hear naturally or with correction.
• Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties.
• Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure.
• Requires repetitive movement.
• May require work above 5 feet in height.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
• Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.

• Requires working in cramped work spaces and getting into awkward positions.
• Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32F degrees) temperatures and exposure to inclement weather such as dust, wind, snow, rain, etc.

• Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
• Work around hazardous equipment.
