APSCo - Association of Professional Staffing Companies

NRL have been proud APSCo members since 2011, and our recruitment consultants are given access to APSCo accredited training programmes to continuously improve their industry knowledge.

The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) offers a voice for the recruitment industry leveraging member support to raise standards in the staffing industry and challenge legislation. NRL are actively involved in supporting the trade organisation with industry data for market analysis and regular contributions to help shape the future of recruitment.

APSCo has become a trusted badge of quality in the international recruitment industry. As such, NRL were honoured to be named as the APSCo Recruitment Company of the Year 2015 (£50m turnover) at their highly respected Awards for Excellence. NAWIC - Women in Construction

Women in Construction, it’s something we’re passionate about here at NRL. With a large number of females Directors and Leaders within our own business, we understand the huge benefits a balanced workforce has on a business.

That’s why our Washington branch, led by Director Gillian Gomersall and Branch Manager Emma Lowden are active members of the North East’s National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) branch.

Working with construction businesses across the region, NAWIC champions female careers in construction through a range of meetings and events, and NRL are proud to support their strategy.

EIC- Energy Industries Council

To support our expertise across a range of energy sectors, NRL are active members of the Energy Industries Council (EIC), the leading trade association for UK companies that supply goods and services to the energy industry.

In 2017 NRL contributed to the EIC’s Survive and Thrive report, where CEO Stuart Broadley identified how businesses are managing to retain competitive advantage in the most challenging of sectors.

Working with NOF ensures we have the latest market intelligence and industry updates, and our regional teams understand the energy markets our clients operate within.

ECIA - Engineering Construction Industry Association

NRL have always been at the forefront of change and innovation. We were delighted to be one of the first recruitment companies to seek and qualify for ECIA employment business membership and have been members since 2008.

The Engineering Construction Industry Association (ECIA) is the principal trade and employer Association for the UK engineering construction industry.

Members are made up of large scale companies that carry out major engineering projects around the world, as well as smaller blue book contractors. NRL’s expertise helping deliver a wide range of recruitment solutions within this sector makes us an ideal fit to work with the association.

We are committed to upholding the National Agreement for the Engineering Construction Industry (NAECI) guidelines established by the ECIA. Our clients include many of the country’s largest blue-chip companies and we have supplied thousands of workers to NAECI sites and projects across the country.

IRSE - Institution of Railway Signal Engineers

Committed to safety and best practice, a number of our rail team are members of the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE).

Formed in 1912, the institution was established to support the advancement of signal engineering through research, training and continued investment in best practice.

We’re committed to working in partnership with our clients to deliver the highest standards in rail maintenance, so actively support the IRSE’s aims to improve safeguarding, professional development and operational excellence.

We take our role in the UK’s rail network extremely seriously. We provide complete transparency of our operations and practices, and as such support the efforts of CIRAS to improve safety and compliance.

CIRAS is a confidential incident reporting and analysis system that ensures that the health, safety and other concerns of our operatives are captured internally and investigated to a satisfactory conclusion. Key learnings are incorporated into our operations and briefings, to continuously improve our services.
